| RENTING GUIDE Q. How can we reserve a property that we would like to take. A. Having paid the administration fee you will complete an application form This will hold the property whilst we complete your referencing. Q. What is an Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement. A. There is an initial guaranteed period of tenure, usually six months. After this period the tenancy continues on an on-rolling basis. The tenant can give one months notice to quit, and the landlord could give the tenant two months. Q. Who has to sign the tenancy agreement. A. Everyone who is over the age of eighteen. Q. When can we give notice to quit the property A. After the initial guaranteed period you can give one months notice from the 1 st of a month. Q. What repairs are we responsible for. A. None. Other than any damage that you have caused yourself. (However if you have tenants contents Insurance this may cover you.*) *Any damage or repairs required must be promptly reported to us. Q. What must we do when we are leaving the property at the end of our tenancy? A. The property must be left in a, “ready to let” condition. All contents to be left in the rooms in which they belong. The property and all contents must be thoroughly cleaned throughout. When you give notice you will be sent a letter explaining to you, your responsibilities. |
